What is Vestrus?
Vestrus is a local-first portfolio tracker designed for people who want a clear, comprehensive view of their investments without handing their working portfolio record to a subscription platform or brokerage-connected service.
It brings holdings, cash, transactions, account views, charts, market context, portfolio history, gain/loss analysis, reporting, and longer-range outlook tools together in one information-dense workspace designed to remain under the user’s control.
Vestrus is manual-first by design. You maintain the portfolio record yourself, while optional user-supplied Finnhub and Tiingo market-data access can provide current prices and supporting market context. No brokerage connection is required.
Like other Earth Shack Software tools, Vestrus runs as a single HTML file in a modern browser. No Earth Shack account. No installation. Your working portfolio data and backups remain under your control.
Is Vestrus right for you?
📊 Self-Directed Investors
You want to maintain your own portfolio record and see holdings, cash, transactions, performance, charts, and account information together without depending on a brokerage dashboard.
🧭 Long-Term Portfolio Owners
You care about where the portfolio has been, where it stands today, and where it may be headed. Vestrus combines current-position awareness with portfolio history, gain/loss analysis, reporting, and Wealth Outlook tools.
🗂️ Multi-Account Investors
You hold investments across taxable accounts, IRAs, Roth IRAs, or other account structures and want to examine holdings and results by portfolio, account, sector, or position.
🔐 Local-First Users
You prefer to keep your working financial record on your own computer rather than inside another subscription service or mandatory cloud account. Vestrus is built around local storage and customer-controlled backups.
📈 Investors Who Want Market Context Without Brokerage Integration
You want charts, pricing, indicators, sector context, and news alongside your own portfolio record while remaining free to choose whether or not to configure optional market-data providers.
