Version 1.1.0 — Sentinel Launch

Release Date: June 2026

This release establishes Sentinel as the renamed and updated successor to EarthView, with significant new capabilities and provider safety improvements.

Renamed from EarthView to Sentinel. Existing EarthView customers receive this update at no charge under their original license.

New capabilities:

  • Provider safety governor — automatic fallback behavior when data providers are unavailable or rate-limited
  • CelesTrak provider safety: automatic failover to embedded TLE fallback when live fetch fails
  • Quiet orbital fallback behavior — satellite tracking continues gracefully when connectivity drops
  • ISS and CSS embedded TLE fallback for uninterrupted tracking at startup and during connectivity gaps
  • Improved feed-status bar with per-source freshness granularity

Fixes and improvements:

  • Satellite icon standardization — ham satellites (SAT 1 / SAT 2) use consistent satellite dish icon; ISS and CSS use spacecraft icon
  • QTH LAT/LON input pill rendering corrected (no overlap with dashboard UI)
  • Status bar coordinates now use signed degrees including correct negative sign for southern hemisphere
  • Lat/Lon display rounded to two decimal places for improved readability
  • In-app License & Credits includes clickable links to storefront pages
  • Updated company branding and copyright (2025–2026)

Version 1.0.2 — EarthView bug fixes

Release Date: January 19, 2026

  • Corrected QTH LAT/LON input pill rendering (fix claimed in v1.0.1 was not applied; resolved in this release)

  • Minified file for smaller size and faster load
  • Copyright updated to 2025–2026
  • Fixed QTH LAT/LON input pill rendering (overlap with dashboard UI)

Version 1.0.0 — EarthView Initial Release

Release Date: January 2026

First public release. Established the core Earth and space situational-awareness display:

  • Full-screen global map with real-time day/night terminator (grayline)
  • World clocks using IANA time zones
  • Live earthquake data from USGS 24-hour GeoJSON feed with per-interval statistics
  • Volcano locations from USGS catalog plus curated "volcanoes of interest" lists
  • Toggleable tectonic plate boundaries (PB2002), preferences remembered between sessions
  • ISS and CSS tracking with position, orbital trail, altitude, speed, and footprint visualization
  • Two selectable amateur satellites (SAT 1 / SAT 2) with orbit paths, footprint rings, and in-view indicators
  • AOS/LOS timing for ISS, CSS, and selected amateur satellites
  • Embedded TLEs at startup with automatic promotion to live CelesTrak TLEs when internet is available
